While I only do a limited amount of corporate events, each year I always make myself available to work with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for their annual travel industry event. The company sends representatives from properties all over the world to be at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey in California for a little trade show and to express their appreciation towards all the travel agents that refer their clients to The Ritz-Carlton.
It’s always a pleasure working this event, and I’m always curious to see what they’ll do differently each year. This time, they really made some nice sets, and each guest was given a passport so they could have their pages stamped by each property as they went through the trade show.
They sure had a nice spread of food this year, from an elaborate taco station to a sushi station to a seafood station as well as some lovely Persian desserts.
To top it off, they even brought in Felix to be their mascot. A real, live lion! I don’t know how they’re going to top this next year.

This was my first experience of Russian bread with salt.
This was the entry to the trade show.
This company has some really talented people!
The taco station, complete with fresh churros at the end of the line.
Executive Chef Chad Minton did a great job, as usual.
Here’s Felix. Isn’t he adorable?
Okay, well, sometimes he can be a bit intimidating. lol
But rest assured, he’s one well behaved cat.
Guests were greeted by this handsome couple.
Synchronized swimming is always fun to shoot!
